Who We Are

Sahayogi Mahila is a non-governmental organization dedicated to the upliftment and empowerment of marginalized communities. Established in the year 1988 at Baghraisai village in the Rajnagar block, our organization began its full-fledged operations in 1992. Our dedicated working areas span across the Saraikella-Kharswan, East Singhbhum, and West Singhbhum districts of Jharkhand. We focus our development activities on women, children, primitive tribes, farmers, and environmental awareness.

At Sahayogi Mahila, we believe real social change happens when communities unite with purpose. By partnering with grassroots leaders, local families, and dedicated volunteers, we work collaboratively to dismantle socio-economic barriers, improve access to education, and foster self-reliance among women and marginalized groups across the region.

Our Vision

Organization seeks to promote and enrich socio-economic conditions for the underprivileged sections of the society by providing them with the opportunities to enhance their skills by availing various schemes through community-driven activities to integrate the vulnerable community, specially women and children, for mainstreaming.

Our Mission

  • Sustain the environment and maintain equilibrium through plantation and watershed programs.

  • Holistic development of the tribal community to the standard of developed communities.

  • Increase skill development among tribal and rural people through new technology.

  • To maintain the local and traditional culture social intervention.

Our Key Objective

    • To build the character potential of the community by creating participatory development and working towards better gender equality, as well as the development of tribal, primitive tribe, other backward classes, women, and children.

    • To improve literacy levels, health and nutrition status, hygienic conditions, sanitation, and the creation of employment opportunities that are economically viable and ecologically sustainable.

    • To optimize the use of resources—land, water, vegetation, livestock, and people—and promote renewable energy sources to restore eco-development.

    • Economic emancipation of the family with particular attention to the provision of adequate employment opportunities to women who are largely engaged in unpaid and underpaid jobs.

    • To create awareness on the protection of forests and environment development, and direct intervention through various activities for its development and sustainability.

Legal & Administrative Status

    • Establishment: Founded in 1988; Full operations started in 1992.

    • Registration: Registered under the Societies Registration Act 21, 1860 in Patna (Registration No. 235) and re-registered in Ranchi, Jharkhand (Registration No. 761).

    • FCRA: Registered under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act 1976 (Registration No- 33782041).

    • Tax Exemptions: Registered Under 12A and 80G.

    • Chief Functionary: Mr. Jawahar Lal Mahato.
